A51 Selected to Redesign Brand Concepts Company Website
June 1, 2011 — A51 is proud to present the completely redesigned website for Canadian beverageware company, Brand Concepts, highlighting the company’s unique product offerings and in particular, their specialty in Sahm TasteDesign®. The site’s primary focus is to showcase the many successful projects completed by the Brand Concepts team, and to generate an impactful, yet informative, first impression for prospective and existing clients.
Lead designer for A51, Steve Schoger, describes the site as having a, “somewhat modern, yet retro feel that we believe suits the beverageware industry well. I think we've been successful in presenting the photography in a meaningful and unique way that adds to the overall user experience.”
A51 was also responsible for rewriting the website copy, paying close attention to keywords and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and coming up with a creative and engaging tag line that would best exemplify Brand Concept’s services.
On the technical side, each of the site’s tabs open up as a pop–up from the bottom navigation, so the user can always see the home page in the background. A51 designed a separate page for Brand Concepts’ past projects, which uses a cutting–edge 4–panel vertical scrolling interface built with jQuery, to add interest to the portfolio section. A pair of panels move in one direction while the other two move in the opposite direction. AJAX was used to ensure smooth page transitions.
